Exhibitions where you can, for example, make a constellation projector, build a castle, learn to work with wood, try medieval cuisine, knit a bat, touch a meteorite, embroider a picture, understand trees or even visit the heart of the Earth - that's our museum in Rýdlova Street! We have rotating exhibitions on various themes, handicraft workshops, clubs, educational programs for schools and kindergartens, inspirational events for adults and families, and workshops for educators. When you want to get some air, in the museum garden you can, for example, climb into the giant bird's nest in the treetops, visit the insect hotel or the birds in our aviary and explore how water behaves in the landscape.
Geopark Říčany
Do you eat rocks? Or are you just looking for a place where the kids will have so much fun that they won't want to go home and learn something new? Then you have to visit our geopark! It's open from April to October, and in addition to intensive education for schools, kindergartens and teachers, we also organise lots of events for the public. You can try your hand at digging for real Czech garnets, unearthing fossils in the palaeontological site or exploring the cave system. In the geopark laboratory, you can also cut, grind and polish stones during special events. The Geopark can also be enjoyed privately - it can be booked for a birthday party or team building event. At the entrance door to the geopark (Masarykovo náměstí 71) you will find a large sun and information about it - the beginning of the Říčany Astro Trail.
Celebrate your birthday in Geopark Říčany!
Have you ever had a volcano erupt to celebrate? No? Well, try a celebration in Geopark Říčany! You will have a lot of activities and fun from digging for real Czech gems - garnets, uncovering a paleontological site with trilobites and dinosaur bones, exploring a cave and grinding and polishing stones!
Outdoor exhibition Dvorek
We have chickens and rabbits in the courtyard opposite the main museum building, which we care for according to welfare principles. Children who do not have the opportunity to interact with farm animals can learn here how to treat the animals so that they are not only useful, but also happy. The Yard includes a historical mini-exhibit that showcases a classic farm from the early 20th century. A shed with a shingle roof covers a 1929 farm wagon.
Říčanská hájovna
The Hájovna in the middle of the woods between Říčany and Světice is a great place for residential programs for big and small as well as large public events like Earth Day.
