Less than an hour's drive from Prague, right in the heart of the former estate of Archduke Franz Ferdinand d'Este, lies the unique Baroque farm Benice, the seat of the largest private breeder of Old Cladruban horses in the country and the world.

The Baroque farm Benice breeds about 80 horses, mostly of the Kladruby breed. Kladruby horses are one of the oldest continuously bred horse breeds in the world. In our stud farm you can experience the indescribable euphoria of meeting a herd of these noble animals and feel the majesty of a breed exclusively bred for ceremonial purposes of the imperial court, which was and still is popular in royal courts throughout Europe.

The Baroque farmhouse Benice is not only a place for horse lovers, it also offers a range of services for the public - rides through the beautiful countryside on horseback and in carriages, riding lessons and carriage driving for beginners and advanced riders, accommodation directly in the historic farmhouse buildings, a pub in the ancient granary, outdoor seating and barbecues. The surrounding countryside is ideal for cycling, so you can hire bikes and cycle along one of the many cycle paths on the farm. Children are always welcome in Benice and can experience donkey rides or meet ponies, Charles the goat, Hugo the mule and others. Every year we organize summer children's camps focused on learning horsemanship.

The unique three-winged farmhouse, built in 1750, offers a variety of options for your rest and refreshment: accommodation in attic rooms, a stylish pub or outdoor seating. For corporate or private events, it offers the original premises of the ancient granary with a seating capacity of 200 guests, a Baroque world room with a capacity of up to 30 people, or the courtyard and spacious grounds as an ideal option for organizing various social events such as banquets, presentations, garden parties, training sessions, teambuilding events, weddings including ceremonies, weekend stays, etc.

The farmhouse is surrounded by vast meadows and forests and will provide you with plenty of peace and privacy for well-deserved relaxation and rest. The Baroque farmhouse Benice is a registered cultural monument for its historical and architectural value.

The Old Kladruby horse bred outside Kladruby in the second largest breeding farm in the country in the Baroque farmhouse Benice is a world unique, not only because of its origin, but also because of the successful breeding efforts to resurrect the original Czech breed. In 1995, the Old Kladruby horse in the white variant was accepted as a cultural monument, and the black variant in 2005. In 2002, the Starokladrubsky Horse together with the Kladruby Stud Complex was recognised as a national cultural monument. With this status, it became the only living creature in the world that is considered to be the centre of conservation alongside important works of art and architecture. Not even the Lipizzaners of the Spanish School in Vienna have this distinction. The world championship therefore belongs to the Old Cladruban Horse. This breed has also been accepted under the protection of the FAO, the UN's professional organisation. Furthermore, this baroque breed - the Old Cladruban horse - has been included on UNESCO's indicative list as a cultural heritage of mankind.
